After the wedding day, it was awesome being able to head out with Ruth and Mark for a trash the dress adventure! We had so much fun hanging out while hitting up some of the best locations Vegas has to offer.
I must say Ruth and Mark were smokin’ during this session!

Hair and makeup were done by Lori White. I have to give this girl mad props. We started out on our adventure at 6:30 AM, which meant hair and makeup had to be started hours earlier. And did such great work – Ruth looked incredible!

After exploring Nelson we were off to the Boneyard for even more photos and fun times:

I had a great time hitting up the Boneyard last week with Summer and Josh! It was fun shooting there again – this time seeing the other side of the location. Summer looked stunning… and her and Josh totally rocked this shoot!!
Congrats again to the newlyweds!! Enjoy the photos guys.

Summer and Josh’s married last name begins with an H, so we thought this spot with all the worn down H’s was pretty cool…

Monica and I have been email buddies for a while, so it was great finally meeting her and her fiance for an awesome TTD bridal at the Boneyard. Here’s a sneak peak from Thursday’s session:

Monica and Nolan met at a little bar called The Horseshoe, so the sign below seemed fitting. I guess it’s true that horseshoes are good luck!

Thanks for a great time guys. It was definitely a little adventure!
I hope you made it to Ka alright and enjoyed the rest of your stay in Vegas.

I was super excited for Kara and Greg to come back to Vegas for a trash the dress this past weekend! I hadn’t seen them since their wedding in April, so it was a great time catching up on everything while on our mini-adventure.

I was talking with Shane (from A&E’s hit show King of Cars) yesterday about trash the dress. He’s getting married soon so of course was really excited when I told him a about it and showed some of my past TTD photos.
But what was funny was when he called his fiancé and hearing a guy try to describe trash the dress. The conversation went something like: “I’m talking to Chelsea here, and she does this cool thing called DESTROY the dress. Yeah, where we can just go destroy it!! Tear it up, or have the kids ruin it. Ya know, because you’re never going to use it again.”
LOL. Of course, I was like: “You can’t tell her that! She’ll never go for it!” But it was still fun watching how excited he got when explaining it.
Just in case that message wasn’t interpreted properly here’s my official explanation of the phenomenon we so lovingly call trash the dress/undressed/unbridal/antibridal:
Trash the dress really has to be seen rather than described. But if you had to describe it you could say, it’s an excuse to pull that gorgeous dress (that never thought it would see the light of day again) out of the closet, perfect your hair & makeup again, then go out on location to capture crazy, fun, and artistic photos that you wouldn’t dare take before the wedding! The best thing about this type of shoot is it really allows your personality to shine through since this is the one time it’s all about you!
So Shane – If you’re reading this, try that one on her and see if she’s interested.

I picked Jennifer and Aaron up from their hotel early in the morning to start our journey to Valley of Fire! It was definitely a great adventure. The directions from Google maps led us down the wrong exit… but the long drive was well worth it once we reached our destination! The vibrant red rocks were just what Jennifer and Aaron were hoping for being a little reminder of home.
We got a great hike in, enjoying the fresh air, gorgeous landscapes, and perfect weather.

Yesterday was a very orange day.
Earlier in the evening I met up with Shawna and her husband for a Halloween themed trash the dress at a local pumpkin patch. She looked absolutely GORGEOUS in her dress, so of course I could not wait to get nice and messy. And that’s just what we did: rolling in the hay and digging out the pumpkin guts. It was so much fun!!

I love this time of year. The fall is so beautiful with its muted natural tones. And what better way to celebrate!
Later that night my hair was dyed orange (well just the top layer, but it’s pretty bright). So there’s a little clue to my Halloween costume for this weekend!
Thanks again to my awesome model for letting loose and having some Halloween bridal fun with me! What a great day.

Slot machines, train tracks, burnt out school buses, freezing pool water, and six beautiful brides = one killer time!

Saturday was amazing with six newlywed brides (and 3 hubbies) coming out to Las Vegas from as far as Boston for the first ever group trash the dress. It ended up being an 8 hour photo shoot as we went all across town, starting at the Palace Station hotel-casino and ending in a swimming pool!
Angie from Storybook Brides did an awesome job on Nikki and Clara’s hair and makeup.
Thanks so much to all my gorgeous couples and brides: Clara and Todd, Nikki and Greg, Christine and Ray, Rachel, Amanda, and Dawn.
You guys totally rock!

This has got to set a record of some kind!
What an absolute blast. It was incredible to have so many beautiful brides come together at one time to trash their dresses with me. And after being kicked out of multiple places, threatened with arrest or camera smashing, and many injuries amongst the group of us I can say it was definitely worth it!! I wear the bruises on my knees with pride.
Stay tuned for more!

I picked Estacie up from her hotel bright and early @ 5:30am to drive out to our “secret” location fully equipped with energy drinks, water, makeup, memory cards, cameras, and of course – the dress!
Estacie made a great model because she was up for anything! It was a 50 min drive out there and I would have drove 3 times as far (on a full tank of gas) for the fun times we had.
Here’s a few shots from the day:

After we left that location, we went out to the lake to cool off and have some water fun!

All I can say is wow, what a day. Estacie you totally rock!

I’ve been really busy with mother’s day, but spent all today getting the photos edited from Friday’s bridal shoot with Nicole, which was a blast! It was a bit of an adventure being both of our first time out to the lake bed. We woke up super early (with some monster energy drinks to wake us up)and got there just as the sun was rising – BEAUTIFUL. It was nice to just get away from town for a little while and enjoy the outdoors.

While we were there a dirt biker as he circled the lake bed. The ring of dust he stirred up was pretty awesome, gathering just before the mountains in the distance. You can see it a lot of the shots. AND talking about DUST – there sure wasn’t a shortage of it! I think next time I might bring a change of pants for the way back. Haha Great times!
Nicole has a lot of spunk – I love her! I discovered she knows ballet, so we got some great poses! But most of all we just had fun. And the photographs really seemed to capture her personality in the end.
