Jen was a little worried about the stormy weather we had been having a few days before the wedding, but the storm went away just in time, leaving us beautiful clouds and nice cool summer weather. It was perfect for their incredible outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake at Bali Hai…

Check back soon for the wedding slideshow! And you can also click here to check out their engagement session from last December.
Jen and Tavis, it was great seeing you guys again and meeting all your wonderful family and friends. Congrats on a beautiful marriage together!

I’m very excited to announce that Tuesday June 3rd will be the first ever PUG (Pictage User Group) meet for the Las Vegas area, hosted by myself and good friend Ashley Bartoletti.
You don’t have to be a Pictage member, or even know what Pictage is, to come to the first meet up. It’s always free and all photographers are welcome – whether you photograph weddings, children, or skies. It will be held at my house in Tuscanny Ridge at Mountains Edge starting at 7:00pm. Feel free to email me for directions (chels(at)chelsea-nicole.com). Or for more information or to RSVP visit the PUG page.
Come help us make a strong photographer community out here! We’ll be getting to know each other, discussing networking with vendors, and taking a look at Pictage’s new art books. In addition, there will be free food and drinks (always an added bonus)!
It’ll probably be small – but whether it’s just two people or 15 we’ll be sure to have fun! Hope to see you soon!

I love evening weddings – there’s such a sweet romanticism to them. And Kris and Andy’s ceremony at Primrose was absolutely beautiful! Everything was covered in rose petals and the walkway entirely light by candlelight.

To the newlyweds: CONGRATS!! I had such an awesome time exploring around town and celebrating the wedding with you. Hope your honeymoon was incredible and that you had a very safe trip back. I will miss you guys!
To my “blog-stalkers” – You know who you are
: I’ve been a little behind on blogging. But now that university exams are over (and with all the fabulous weddings coming up) I promise that there’s much more to come!

What a great past weekend! Kris and Andy came out from Bradford, England in celebration of their big day. Thursday night we picked up their wedding license, then hit up the town for a fun engagement session along the strip!

Karma got Kris back for splashing me inside the conservatory…

Just for fun, we decided to have a competition against the “Everything is Sexier in Paris” poster. I say Kris and Andy won hands down.

Though the marriage license made it legal, it wasn’t until the wedding on Saturday that Kris and Andy were officially married! Photos from their fabulous wedding coming soon!

Please help stop the “Orphaned Works” Legislation from passing.
This is important. It changes the entire US Copyright law, not only effecting photographers and artists, but EVERYONE worldwide in a negative way. If you would like to know more, there’s a very good interview discussing this matter here:
orphan works information.mp3
With big money and power behind it (ie: Bill Gates) this is being pushed through congress really fast, therefore it requires immediate action.
Don’t let your wedding images turn up as ads for divorce, spousal abuse, or to sell honeymoon vacations… or your children and family photos being used without your knowledge or proper compensation. This act opens up the doors to abuse of not only our personal property (or as an artist – our livelihood), but also our right to privacy. There’s even a part in this act that will prevent you from recouping the expense of suing for improper use.
This act is ridiculous. Please, help stop it before it’s too late.
