August PUG!
The August PUG meet up was a lot of fun! It was great seeing everyone who was able to make it out! We were excited to start the studio spotlights, where we plan to feature one member each month. Our very 1st studio spotlight was with Iris from iCandyphotography. Way to kick it off Iris!
Also, a big thanks to my “super cool Jayse” for teaching an awesome class on Photoshop tips and tricks! Jayse covered many different areas such as layer masks, creating and using custom texture sets, blending modes, sun intensifiers (not the icky built in ones), some “no-no’s” that should be avoided, working non-destructively (with smart objects and smart filters) and more. Hey everyone – had a great time! It was good to see you guys and again!!
Suzi – Sorry I had to run away at first and put our vicious teddy-bear of a dog away.
But it was great meeting you! Thanks for coming and I hope you had a great time with your new Nikon posse!

Chels said you all got her all confused about tax stuff so I think we definitely need tax-issue-demystification-training lesson for one of these meet-ups! The business side is always the hard part for us creative-types. I think we all could use some help in that area.

I was honored to be chosen as the first studio spotlight. It’s kinda weird showing my work to a room of photographers. Even weirder when I’m reading your blog and all of a sudden there’s a big picture of me. But thanks, it was fun. I’m looking forward to seeing the other studio spotlights.
