“28 Books Project!”

Books… I love them. It’s so nice to curl up in a cozy chair or on the couch with my little puppy Bella by my side and read for a while. Plus, there is SO much knowledge to gain from them! There’s only one small problem with books: time. I’m so busy with everyday stuff that I do barely read anymore, which I’m sure many people can relate with. So I’ve decided to make it one of my goals for 2009 to start reading more!

Seeing as though there’s 55 weeks in a year… I’m calling my project “28 BOOKS”! The goal will be to read one book every other week, then take the following week to digest and start putting whatever it is I’ve just learned into action! I’m hoping to keep this up for a full year, and will be sharing little thoughts and tips from my readings here! So be sure to check back! And if anyone else is up for the challenge I would love to hear about it.

Have suggestions on books to read? Leave it in the comments! I already have a long list of amazing books that I’ve been meaning to pick up for some time, but am totally down for suggestions. :)

Some for-sure reads already on my list include:

“Creating Customer Evangelists” - Jackie Hube & Ben McConnell

“How to Win Friends and Influence People” - Dale Carnegie

“Lovemarks: The Future Beyond Brands” - Kevin Roberts

“Fast Track Photographer” - Dane Sanders

“All Marketers are Liars: The Power of Authentic Stories in a Low-Trust World” - Seth Godin

“The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It” - Michael Gerber

“Love Is the Killer App: How to Win Business and Influence Friends” - Tim Sanders

February 9, 2009 - 8:54 pm Jessica Benson - Hi Chelsea. I've been following your blog for a few months now. Sorry I've never made it out to a PUG meeting. You new website is so awesome! Anyways, I have a book recommendation for you: Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin. I LOOOVED it. I wish everyone would read it, male or female, pregnant or not pregnant. It is a fun and fascinating read.

February 18, 2009 - 10:50 am marlin munoz - Great list, loved "Lovemarks"!! I can also suggest "Chasing Cool" by Gene Pressman.

February 25, 2009 - 4:42 pm Kenny C - I loved the Fast Track Photographer by Dane Sanders. It was an eye opener for sure.

March 11, 2009 - 6:47 pm Chels - Thanks for the suggestions guys! :) And Jessica, you should come out to the March PUG. I'd love to meet you!
